New Rating Systems: Part 1

Posted by David on July 3, 2009

Here at Wisdom Of Beer, we have always had a hard time with the methodology of how we come up with our ratings. So we have taken the first steps in coming up with a rating system, until we get the process to a point we are comfortable with it will be a living organism. We ask that during this process our loyal readers bare with us, if you have a suggestion for an improvement to the rating system, please drop us a line.

Rating System

  • Drinkability – a measure on a lycard scale (1-10) of how easily a beverage is to drink, it would be good to keep in mind the drink by itself and with multiple drinks.
  • Flavor – a measure on a lycard scale (1-10) of the strength of the flavor.
  • Refreshness – a measure on a scale of how well the drink would refresh the drinker, think both during possible warm and cold weather.
  • Overall Score – Average of all subgroups.
