This weekend was Memorial Day festivities and one of the parties I went was serving Pabst Blue Ribbon (PBR), I will admit that this beer has a special place in my heart, because it was one of the low-cost beers that we drank in college when money was tight. But now that my beer pallet has become more refined and I am drinking beer for taste and flavor, I realize that PBR really is not the best of beers. It is one of the few American owned breweries, but the beer they produce is quite flavorless and very weak. While you can suck these down all day and not get wasted, the completely weak flavor is a killer for me. PBR calls this a pilsner, but it lack the characteristics of a good pilsner. I am going to leave it be with PBR and move on.
